3Par Consultant

We are conducting a search for an HP 3PAR Consultant for our Las Vegas Client.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be assigned to execute the following:

• The consultant will configure and run the 3PAR storage systems to best practices while providing hands on training and knowledge transfer to the Manitou Administrators regarding those best practices.
• The consultant will configure and run the DL 980 server systems to best practices while providing hands on training and knowledge transfer to the Manitou staff.
• The consultant will provide hands on training, knowledge transfer and use case info to the Manitou staff around the software components of the array including but not limited to: Dynamic Optimization, Adaptive Optimization, Oracle Recovery Manager, Remote Copy, System Tuner, thin suite, virtual copy, and system reporter.
• The consultant will provide hands on training and best practices on how to receive and manage the performance of the 3PAR arrays and DL 980’s.
• The consultant will provide hands on training and best practices for the actual administration of the arrays.
• The consultant will work with HP services and support to ensure insight remote support and other support automation processes are implemented.
• The consultant will create detailed host work sheets.
• The consultant will work with the administrator’s to develop a functional disaster recovery plan.
• The consultant will work with the storage team to put together best practices for SNAPs and Backup/Restore.
• The consultant will ensure all firmware is up to date and provide a detailed plan for managing firmware updates to the storage and servers.
• The remaining time of the stay should be used to bring the systems into full production.
