We are interested in candidates located in the Pacific and Mountain Time Zones. 50-75% travel is required depending on client and phase of project. You can work virtually for this position.

Basic Function:

- Project managers serve under the project guidance of a Program Manager and will be responsible for daily planning, scheduling, and controlling the activities of moderately complex and complex Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) implementation projects to ensure that project deliverables both application and process related are provided on time, within budget, and in accordance to specifications and standards.

- Responsible for building and maintaining productive working relationships between COS organizations, multiple ADP partners and the client project team members, including the client project sponsor and steering committee. Responsible for monitoring the daily performance of onsite COS resources and assist with providing input for quarterly performance evaluations of those consultants.

- In some cases, may be also be responsible for monitoring performance of client resources with respect to their assigned project activities, but will not perform performance evaluations or other line management functions of client resources. In addition, project managers are responsible for establishing project procedures that support project management standards and guidelines as defined by the Director of Project Management

Job Summary-Specific:

1. The primary responsibility of the COS Project Manager is to daily manage the tasks, deliverables and resources defined by the project plan. This will include such tasks as plan updates, status reporting, resource requests, change control, issue logs, and other project management tasks. Typically this role manages the acceptance, integration and/or development and delivery of discrete deliverable(s) directly to internal COS and client customers, or in support of a major enterprise wide program.

2. This position works in coordination with the COS Program Manager to provide the primary interface between the company, the internal COS and client customers as well as third party providers. Manages employees from multiple functions in the company, the customer, and some third party vendors. May manage project leaders as direct reports.

Typical Duties:

· Follows Project Management disciplines in the following areas: Scope Management, Schedule Management, Cost Management, Issue Management, Risk Management, Quality Management, Human Resource Management, Communication Management and Contract Management.

· Establishes and manages project plan, including the development schedule, delivery schedule, resource requirements and integration efforts of third party products. Reports on progress periodically to management.

· Work with Program Manager on project structure and staffing plans, and participates in staffing process, which may include selection of personnel from third party vendors and customers.

· Motivates and directs project team; sets goals, objectives and priorities; assigns and reviews work. Provide input and feedback to Program Manager on team member performance reviews on a quarterly basis. Recommends additions and deletions to staff over the life of the project.

· Acts as primary interface with the internal ADP partners and customer on issues regarding the project deliverable. Ensures customer reviews are held, including the customer user community. Obtains customer sign off on status and requirements.

· Acts as primary interface to subcontractors supplying either product or service.

· Ensures that approved methods, processes and tools are consistently used.

· Accountable for meeting project schedule and results as well as for the customer satisfaction and the quality of the deliverable.

· Typically has 3-5 years of technical or industry experience before transitioning to this position.

 

 RequirementsQualifications

3-4 years of experience implementing HR or Payroll software for Fortune 1000 companies.
2-5 years of experience in a formal Project Management role.
2-5 years of experience with multi-line projects where a variety of systems and processes are implemented.
2-5 years of experience supervising the activities of teams of 10 or more people, in either a line or project reporting relationship.
Successful completion, as Project Manager, of at least 2 projects with a scope of 10,000 or more hours.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with executive level managers in a project-oriented setting.
Demonstrated ability to build effective teams in a project-oriented setting.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain leveled and balanced Project Plans using a software tool such as CA-SuperProject, MicroSoft Project, or other comparable tools.
Education Requirements

Bachelors Degree Preferred or equivalent experience plus professional certification desirable.
