Atkins seeks a highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our Henderson, NV staff as a Technology Support Technician. In this role you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge of desktop computer hardware and software in support of local end-users. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a proficiency in the use of Microsoft products as well as a proficiency in Networking and Windows server.

Typical duties and responsibilities of this position are:

Installs and configures computer hardware, software, and peripheral components.

Supports desktop computer users with day-to-day and long-term problem determination and resolution.

Assists in migrating to new technologies.

Moves or relocates computer equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.

May perform such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

 RequirementsThe appropriately qualified candidate will have the following core competencies and required experience:

A High School diploma (or equivalent) is required.
At least two years of relevant experience is required.
Our ideal candidate will have an intermediate proficiency in the use of Microsoft products is required, as is a proficiency in Networking and Windows server (2003 and 2008).
A working knowledge of Altiris and/or SCCM is required.
Experience with OS deployments, scripted installs, and deployment of images to new machines is required.
Clear written and verbal communication is required.
Proficiency in identifying and solving is required.
