NEVADA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD

 

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED:   This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is located in the Army National Guard. Its purpose is to provide storage and distribution, cataloging or supplyidentification systems, property utilization, or other related supply activities including those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems.

1. Performs routine and nonroutine material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops.

2. Responsible for local management of decentralized and decontrolled items which requires technical intervention to assure effective supplysupport and economy.

3. Responsible for limited aspects of storage management.

Minimum Requirements: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered.  Experience using computer and automation systems.

Specialized Experience:

GS-07— Must have at least 12 months experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment.   Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts.  Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management.

REQUIRED: Secret  or Appointment is sontingent upon ANACI Interim approval  

 

REQUIRED:  MOS 92A, or 92Y,  or obtained within 12 months

 

REQUIRED: Literate with Mircosoft Office 

 

DESIRED: PBUSE and FAAST knowledge

Be prepared to address the following questions or statements on the assessment questionnaire:

 

1. Knowledge of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures or other supply management guidelines to maintain an accurate accounting and reporting system for non-expandable property and perform routine phases of property management.

2. Knowledge of the stock level maintenance and inventory control procedures and system to determine stock replenishment for supplies and other material within funding limitations.

3. Knowledge and ability to investigate and reconcile routine and recurring discrepancies relating to actions such as receipt control, stock control, and inventory adjustments.

4. Knowledge of one or more automated supply databases to enter, correct, and retrieve recurring reports and structure and retrieve specialized reports.
