Game Studio Director at Las Vegas

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and approving production and technical plans – implement strong phase-gate process.
• Drive best-practice adoption of technology and processes across assigned studio.
• Manage product quality initiatives that will result in maximum user experience.
• Grow strong studio leaders and creative / technical talent across the organization.
• Drive change, technical alignment and improvements in a matrix third party studio structure.
• Plans and directs the entirety of development, game content creation, game conception, game production, prototyping, and testing

· Direct the development of games / applications from conception to delivery
· Directs the execution of the operating plans of the Studio
· Maintains creative control for studios product development and process ensuring alignment with IGT strategic plans and directives.
· Maintain direct accountability for developing and achieving the budgetary, schedule, operational and product quality goals of the Studio.
· Manages employees from multiple disciplines; has both direct and indirect reports

• Attracting, development and retaining strong talent in the studios.

Qualifications:

· 10+ years of experience in the gaming industry with direct experience in product development and/or design.

• Has advanced knowledge of / skills with the development of:

- Game design and development
- Game development tools
- Video graphic art processes and tools
· Proven people communication and leadership skills.
· Previous experience working with third party studios.
· Quick and intuitive thought process grounded in the details of the organization.
· Ability to make tough decisions regarding strategy and people.
· Self-starter who sets aggressive goals and is driven to succeed both personally and professionally; focused on productivity; deeply committed to quality and integrity.
