Contractor Services Coordinator at Henderson

Job Description

Olin Chlor Alkali Products has an opening for a Services Coordinator at the Henderson, Nevada location. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and manage the activities of outside contractors performing work at the plant. This position will ensure contractor compliance with ORC and plant procedures. Must be knowledgeable and compliant with all Division and plant procedures, codes and standards, including RC 14001.

 

The Services Coordinator will provide contractor orientation training, will be responsible for the work performed by contractors and compliance with the Division Contractor Management Procedure. This position will have responsibility for the site HVAC systems, demolition and excavation, plumbing repairs, pest control, landscaping and housekeeping services, salvage yard procedure compliance, quarterly FRA inspections and repairs, annual load testing of cranes and hoists, tracking contractor hours, cost, and invoice approval.

 

The service coordinator will also serve as a backup to the maintenance supervisors. This will include supervising their crews during vacation periods, etc.  This role is intended to be a developmental role for advancement into production or maintenance supervisory opportunities.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school degree or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years plant industrial knowledge and experience, preferably in a leadership role; chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong people and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across different groups both, verbally and in writing. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Ability to work self-directed and handle multiple tasks successfully.
• Demonstrated experience in driving continuous improvement for optimum plant performance.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. SAP experience preferred.
• Physical requirements will include lifting, visual inspections, reaching, bending, twisting, standing, and walking.
• Experience with overseeing and managing contractors preferred.
• Facility maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in training others is preferred.
