Database Developer/Project Manager at Las Vegas

Job Description

Gaming Laboratories International, a world leader in testing gaming devices and online systems (slot machines, video poker machines, Keno, Bingo and Lottery Systems) for use by more than 450 gaming jurisdictions worldwide is seeking a candidate with computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, programming, or equivalent technical backgrounds.

 

Responsibilities

• Assist the Engineering Director in day-to-day operations
• Provides project management services for casino operator engagements
• Assist with systems and iGaming automation and/or client SQL compliance review engagements
• Engineering capacity reporting and creates/maintains dashboards for engineering metrics

 

Job Requirements

• BS/MS in Engineering or Computer Science or other equivalent technical discipline
• Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred
• 3-4 years directly related experience in areas of project management and database development
• Significant relevant work experience including experience in solution designs or implementation.
• Hands-on experience in 2 of the following: J2EE, Microsoft.NET, horizontal or vertical packages
• Excellent organization and PC skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience in DB2 or SQL Server
• Understanding of and experience with project management tools such as MS Project or Open Workbench
• Must have the ability to handle and to organize multiple projects and deadlines.
• Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, correctness and deadlines.
• Must have the ability to sit and work at a computer for extensive periods of time.
• Must have the ability to speak on the telephone with clients/prospective clients for extended periods of time.
• Must have the ability to communicate, both orally and written, with other members of the team and with clients/prospective clients.
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (20%-30%)
