Manager, PPS Business Strategy at Reno

Job Description

As part of PPS Strategy team, you will leverage your prior experience in strategy consulting or corporate strategy to influence the strategic direction for PPS. You will lead and participate in driving strategy for PPS businesses, evaluating growth opportunities, assessing merger and acquisition opportunities, and working in cross-functional teams across PPS to deliver business results.

Responsibilities

The Individual, PPS HQ Business Strategy will:

  • Lead and support pan-PPS initiatives spanning growth strategy and operational excellence based on analysis of industry trends, competitive threats, expansion opportunities and internal performance
  • Work closely with senior executives in developing PPSs portfolio and business strategy, including associated M&A and partnerships
  • Support Business Planning teams in cascading business strategy into Business Unit and Regional operational plans
  • Help craft communication of PPSs portfolio and business strategy to various stakeholders (Employees, Corporate, Board, Investors)
  • Work and lead in a team environment both within the PPS HQ Business Strategy team and with business unit partners/customers

When involved in supporting select business initiatives, the Individual will:

  • Lead the structuring, planning, and execution of the initiative
  • Deliver analytically rigorous and data-driven insights that help PPS executives make strategic decisions and drive business prioritization
  • Provide financial perspective with the ability to "connect the dots" between business strategy/initiatives, operational plans and financial performance
  • Facilitate and communicate to lead groups at all levels through complex problems with confidence and clarity
  • Work collaboratively across organizations to help secure the commitment for cross-company efforts and fully leverage PPS assets

Qualifications

Qualifications

MBA, or demonstrable equivalent;

3-5 Years post-MBA advisory or consulting experience at a leading strategy consulting firm or the strategy and corporate development function within a Fortune 500 company.

Superior analytical skills and strong financial modeling capabilities you know how to interpret data for executives, and focus subordinates to produce good results

Quantifiable results of leading business strategy projects at a corporate/business level; demonstrated ability to deliver results with large-scale, cross-functional teams

Exceptional project management skills

Superior communications (written/verbal), presentation and facilitation skills

You have achieved team leadership responsibility, or; Leading the strategy and corporate development function within a Fortune 500 company.

Solid references that can quantify your results and leadership abilities;

Expertise in information technology and industries in which HP competes
