Account Reconciliations - Healthcare Billing Representative - Las Vegas, NV at Las Vegas

Primary Responsibilities:Perform reconciliations of premium payments and membership reports to identify discrepancies and follow through to ensure outstanding balances are collected and/or resolvedEnter membership, group, billing and rate transactions in accordance with company policies and proceduresCoordinate and communicate with all internal and external customers that interact or that are impacted by decisions affecting revenue, membership and eligibilityUtilize multiple reports to research, resolve, and perform regular maintenance to ensure the accuracy of enrollment, eligibility, billing transactions and commissionsReview and validate premium billing statements for groups and individuals to ensure accurate and timely financial reportingResponsible for medical and ancillary product premium billingInteract with customers gathering support data to ensure invoice accuracy and also work through specific billing discrepanciesProvide input to policies, systems, methods, and procedures for the effective management and control of the premium billing functionEducate customers regarding the availability of receiving invoices and remitting payments through online applicationsMonitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to ensure clients pay as billedManage the preparation of invoices and complete reconciliation of billing with accounts receivablesMay also include quality assurance and audit of billing activities

Qualifications:

Requirement:High school diploma/GED is required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred1+ year customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems required; 2+ years is preferredMust be able to type 35+ WPM required6000+ KPH alpha numeric typing is requiredDemonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Windows applications requiredAny combination of billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, broker commissions, accounting and cash receipts experience is preferredPhysical Requirements and Work Environment:Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods working at a computerService center environment with moderate noise level due to Representatives talking, computers, printers, and floor activityUnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual is part of the family of companies that make UnitedHealth Group one of the leaders across most major segments of the US health care system.When you work with UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual, what you do matters.
