Entry Level Cost Engineer at Las Vegas

Job Classification: Contract Aerotek is looking for an entry level Cost Engineer. Must have experience with construction cost engineering. Must be willing to travel to different locations in Las Vegas. Develop and implement standard cost and schedule programs, processes and practices to ensure planned projects are performed in accordance with approved budgets and schedules. Responsible for the overall status reporting on the financial aspects and the schedules Support the project management team to provide an-effective cost and schedule monitoring program. Candidate should be able to perform the following tasks: - Comply with corporate and project controls procedures as required- Manage invoicing functions, including but not limited to; processing, reviewing, and submitting invoices internally- Communicate effectively to senior management and client on all project status issues - Update specific programs/software according to staffing plan and manage changes to monthly submissions- Manage opening and closing cost codes of using appropriate costing software- Manage and verify interfaces between financial systems- Provide ad hoc reporting for project and/or management using a variety of Client-specific software tools- Review general ledger costs; Read, understand and apply project specific contract terms- Identify, reconcile and explain variances across the project
