Job Description

JOB TITLE:  Quality Assurance Technician – Level 1 (entry level) Graveyard Shift

 

DEPARTMENT:  Quality Assurance

 

ACCOUNTABILITY:  QA Manager

 

JOB SUMMARY: The position performs QA audits, and provides technical assistance for all raw and finished fresh cut products.  The objective of the position is to ensure products meet Get Fresh Sales’ standards of excellence for quality and food safety.

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

 

• Evaluates and documents quality of finished goods and raw materials.
• Participates in the maintenance and development of plant quality programs in support of HACCP.
• Raw Materials and Finished Product Testing.
• Participates in process improvement activities.
• Assist with other administrative duties and technical documentation.
• Communicate with Quality Assurance Manager and Production Manager on a daily basis.

 

Job Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

• Bachelor’s Degree (4 years degree) in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology or other related science field.
• (At least) 1-year experience in a food manufacturing operation and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office and Internet applications.
• Must be detail oriented and possess analytical skills.
• Must have the ability to read, write, and understand policies and guidelines, specifications and safety standards.
• Must have Strong Problem Solving Skills and be able to work independently.
• Must be able to work alternate shifts and weekends.
