Currently we are seeking a highly motivated  Accountants, to join a reputable Financial Institution, in Las Vegas. They have been in business for over 25 years and believe they are only as strong as the team they build and encourage a balanced life of work and family! 

Essential job duties are listed below:

• Record OREO transactions resulting from operations, sales, and write-down of assets.
• Maintain a roll-forward schedule of OREO transactions impacting the OREO asset balance.
• Maintain a database of expense of all OREO income and expenses.
• Maintain a roll-forward of OREO sales transactions, including the calculation of gains and losses from the sales or OREO.
• Interact with bank Asset Managers and outside real estate management companies on accounting issues.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger tax liability accrual accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of deferred tax schedules pertaining to OREO.
• Assist in the preparation of Loss Share Accounting Certifications.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Monitor, research, and record transactions to the general ledger.

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• A minimum of two (2) years of bank-related business experience is required.
• CPA and/or CMA Certifications are preferred.
