Currently, we are seeking a highly motivated Medical Billing Data Entry Specialist. This is a temporary position for a period of three months. 

 

Essential job duties: 

• Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures within a medical billing office
• Knowledge of basic office equipment including copier, fax machine, and computer
• Knowledge of efficiently working the aging
• Knowledge of posting charges/payments 
• Knowledge of local Insurance Carriers
• Knowledge of Insurance follow up on benefits and status of claims
• Ability to explain financial responsibility to the patient
• Ability to use Electronic Medical Record Systems
• Ability to use computers for word processing, e-mail software, etc.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision
• Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to organize and communicate clearly

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of experience in medical billing and eligibility.

• A diploma or certificate in a Medical Billing / Coding field from an accredited program
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-9 coding and medical terminology
• Good Organization Skills
